A successful new walk for our team of 6, organised by George on a perfect day; starting from Tennis Court Car Park Membland, Noss Mayo, near Newton Ferrers. The route utilises bridleways; minor roads and marked footpaths through this area of outstanding views. For our lunch stop we use a picnic table at the entrance to the nearby caravan park at Stoke House, adjacent to the old disused St Peters church, for Poor Fishermen; parts of which date back a 1000 years. It is currently preserved from further ruin by voluntary contribution. Services are held in the building from time to time. The remainder of the walk follows the coastline back to the the Yealm estuary, with outstanding views towards the Eddystone Lighthouse.
